The Request

After years of sitting idle, First Insight’s 20×30 custom exhibit needed a refresh. But instead of starting over, they wanted to scale up to a 30×30 layout by reconfiguring their existing assets. The vision? A new, strategic layout that preserved past investments, elevated the design, and delivered more functionality, all while keeping costs low.

The CEO asked for both high and low options. The final result needed to accommodate branding changes, include meeting and hospitality zones, and feature a highly visible fireside chat area, all without blowing their budget.

That’s where Apple Rock came in.

The Solution

We took a smart, cost-conscious approach to redesign, by repurposing existing components and supplementing them with rental elements to create a layout that was efficient, engaging, and easy to navigate.

The Results

First Insight’s new 30×30 space debuted at NRF 2025 with a fresh, open design that made a strong showing. The reconfiguration saved on cost, maximized usability, and created a flexible foundation for future shows. And with branding updates still in motion, the design leaves plenty of room to adapt—ensuring the space grows with them, not against them. It’s proof that great strategy and smart design can stretch any budget and still deliver a polished, professional presence.

The exhibit combined functionality, comfort, and a touch of champagne taste—all without breaking the bank.

Key Features

Reconfigured Structure: Existing booth elements were rearranged into an open 30×30 footprint with full access from all four sides.
Presentation-Ready: A new fireside chat area with AV support and casual seating was positioned up front to draw in passing attendees.
Tech-Forward Kiosks: Featured integrated monitors, counters, and seating, which is ideal for demos and small meetings.
Multipurpose Lounge: Flexible seating and nooks allowed for podcast recording, casual chats, or quick meetings with clients and press.
Hospitality & Storage: The original lightbox-clad storage closet was reused to house swag and staff items, while a hospitality counter and dual coffee stations kept visitors comfortable and engaged.
Brand Visibility: Though they ultimately removed the hanging sign, bold 16’ high graphic panels and a 65” screen mounted on the lightbox ensured First Insight stayed visible across the show floor.
