Trade Show Tips: Let’s Review Our Top 5 Blogs

For this week’s blog I wanted to find some new genius way to talk about all things tradeshow. What new tips should we give, what information would be the most helpful to our clients, and our soon-to-be clients. So, I began looking at some of our Top blogs over the last couple of years and thought “These are good… and still relevant. How can I write this differently?” But why rewrite or reposition what is already good and still very applicable to the trade Show life today?

So, in honor of the traditional Throw Back Thursday, I thought why not just highlight our Top 5 Blogs. All the below blogs contain very useful tips for setting objectives, metrics, best practices, goal tracking and lead follow-up. Together they really do represent the entire strategic planning process.

  1. 6 TRADE SHOW OBJECTIVES AND HOW TO ACHIEVE THEM
Here we talk about how thorough brainstorming, research and understanding of your overall marketing strategy is key to defining the true purpose of your display.  Have you clearly stated your objectives? We ask our readers three simple questions to help you and your builder craft that perfect booth to accomplish your marketing goals.

  2. HOW TO MEASURE TRADE SHOW ROI AND ROO – FORMULAS AND METRICS
We know it can be stressful reporting about trade show results. Now comes the call from the boss: “What is the ROI and ROO on the show? Was our money well spent? Should we participate in the show next year?” Effective metrics to quantify success include Return On Investment (ROI) and Return On Objectives (ROO). In this blog we breakdown the difference and how to calculate them, so when the boss calls you are ready!

  3. BEST PRACTICES FOR TRADE SHOW BOOTH AND EXHIBIT GRAPHIC DESIGN
Integrating marketing assets into your trade show display design can be tricky. Grabbing the incredibly short attention of trade show attendees is a unique challenge. You have only a few seconds to make the visual and emotional impact needed to encourage an interaction with your booth. How can you most effectively apply your traditional marketing into the event space? Here we teach you best practices for growing your beautiful brand on the trade show floor and making the booth design process easier by prepping your assets properly.

  4. HOW TO IDENTIFY AND TRACK TRADE SHOW AND CONFERENCE GOALS
Having definitive goals will keep you and your team on track throughout the process of designing, implementing, attending and evaluating your trade show program return on investment (ROI). It is far too easy to fall into the “everyone goes to trade shows” mentality and ignore specific and measurable goals that hone your trade show program initiatives to a razor’s edge.

  5. MONEY MAKING METHODS FOR FOLLOWING UP WITH TRADE SHOW LEADS
Having a solid follow-up plan is one of the most important parts of your overall trade show strategy. Too often we find exhibitors don’t have the necessary sense of urgency or a well-thought-out protocol to successfully follow up on the leads obtained at the show.
