Updating Your Trade Show Display – Refurbishing Existing Exhibits

Your marketing and branding have been updated, but what about your trade show display?
Have you used it for several years and are ready for something new?

There are several options available to you when you are ready to go out with the old and in with the new.

You can refurbish your current display.

Change the finishes – Change the colors – Update the graphics! Give your display a new look for less than starting brand new. Depending on the age of your booth, be sure to look into the weight and labor required to set it up and take it down.  In recent years there has been an influx of lightweight display options, from fabric to extrusions that can save you money on your shipping and labor. Although refurbishing your booth may save you money at first, be prepared to know the costs of sending it to your shows.

You can try to sell your display.

Gather all of the information you can, include line drawings, photographs, inventory, and specs. Apple Rock can help you post it on our used display web site, giving it worldwide exposure. Remember to remain realistic about an asking price since this was probably customized to you and will not be for the buyer.

A great option is to donate your exhibit.

Search out a charity that may have a use for some or all of your display. Smaller, more portable displays tend to be most popular, but any display you have is worth looking into.

If these options do not appeal to you, you can recycle your display. There is a cost to recycling, but at least you know it isn’t filling up the landfill.

The key to successful event marketing is keeping your trade show exhibit up-to-date and in sync with your branding and corporate identity. Whether you fix up the old or discard it and start new, that’s up to you!
